Yes Robert Don could play Matt singing Love Is A Many Splendored Thing and Friendly Persuasion their so much better loads better.

We also thought it was another good show.

We always prefer Matt's version of all songs and we can't disagree with Don when he calls him "Matchless Matt" most weeks ☺ ☺

Don said he was looking at Matts back catalogue of songs (about time too) !! …………….and found out he had never played tonight's song before ……….(plus about 200 others)………..he then played "matchless Matt" singing the lovely Sunrise Sunset :) ..........another good show from Don tonight including tributes to departed people he knew including Kenny Lynch :)

Another good show from Don and especially Matt singing Sunrise, Sunset. Let's hope from now on Don will choose a wide variety of songs from the back catalogue.

Just heard on Elaine Paige Radio 2 that Don Black is to receive a special Olivier award for his contribution to theatre. :D

On a listeners request show tonight, Don opened the programme with another song from the Hoagy Carmichael album (must be the only Matt album he poses) ! ……………….and played "matchless Matt" singing Stardust :) ...........the mystery singer was quite easy tonight :wink: ......…another good show from Don with help from his listeners.

Just listened to another good show from Don although there were a couple of singers we didn't know but then "Matchless Matt" made up for that singing Stardust which is one of our favourites.

We have never put a request in but if we did can you guess which singer we would choose - answers on a postcard please! ☺ ☺
