I love the Henry Mancini song "Two for the road"---when Johnny Mathis was doing the "Hollywood Musicals" album, and promoting it over here with Henry, they would often include that as part of the medley--but I cannot recall it was ever recorded--I am also trying to remember the film it came from. It is not heard as often as some of Henry Mancini's other music-not sure why .

Lovely version of Two For The Road on You Tube, apparently it was Henry Mancini's favourite.

Ring Of Bright Water by Val Doonican from the film. Another good film as well.

That was a nice version on "Youtube"--but I still prefer it with lyrics. Was the film called "Rendezvous" ?

I have a video [from TV], of "The Terry Wogan Show" where Henry played, and JM sang-although he was not sure of all the words at that time--but it was very sweet and simple--just a few bars on the piano--that was the first time I heard that song. Monica Mancini [Henry's daughter] included it in her album called "Monica Mancini"

The song Two For The Road is from the film Two For The Road starring Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney. When I listed it earlier, I thought most people knew it was from the film with the same title. I saw it a few years ago. It's very Sixties and I loved it. I highly recommend it.

"RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING ON MY HEAD"--from "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"--one of Bacharach's best.

THanks for clearing that up Paul--I think I got confused, as I originally thought the song was called "Rendezvous"

Sorry Robert and Marian, another senior episode! I had forgotten
You'll note I don't get senior 'moments' any more, they have developed into 'episodes'.

Well spotted Robert--I had missed "Maria".

I think the "Musicals" will need a separate thread of their own, in time--which I had in mind for later on.
