Pop Goes the Weasel - Anthony Newley

I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"

A young fella I met a few weeks ago told me his mother was into a lot of the older singers/groups and as sometimes happens their children often grow up to like their parents music too. He said he really got into Bob Dylan, Meat Loaf and especially Johnny Cash. I think he was besotted by Johnny, he absolutely loved his music appearance personality and his charm. But not long after that Johnny passed away….. this young fella who at the time idolised Johnny so much was absolutely devastated by his passing. He thought “I’ve just got into this awesome performer and he’s passed away” he couldn’t believe it and was upset for quite awhile before he came to termskarl wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2023 4:47 pmThat's the last line of the song Robert but the title is Way Down and it's one my my Elvis favourites, infact his later
material I thought was great. I felt the same way with Roy Orbison, John Lennon & Dusty they were recording great material and then they passed away with all that music still inside them.

I can understand that Robert as I've been upset when singers I like pass away, Gene Pitney's death really shook me as had tickets to see him days after he passed, but at least I saw him several times over the years. When Dusty passed I was numb and of course Jackie Trent as we were friends.ROBERT M. wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 2:31 pmA young fella I met a few weeks ago told me his mother was into a lot of the older singers/groups and as sometimes happens their children often grow up to like their parents music too.
