"SO LONG AT THE FAIR" .. JEAN SIMMONS AND DIRK BOGARDE.

It is another film going back many, many years.

I think it was based on a book---it is about a brother and sister who travel to Paris, to see The Great Exhibition.

The following morning, there is no trace of her brother--their hotel keeper and workers deny ever seeing him-where his room was, is now blank wall--he has vanished as completely as though he had never been there.

This is a recent movie but I LOVE it:
Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont, with Joan Plowright and Rupert Friend.

I've always liked "So Long at the Fair" too Marian. I always have to watch it again if it comes on tv. A film of mystery and suspense. :o

This was another creepy favourite in a similar vein to So Long at the Fair..
FOOTSTEPS IN THE FOG. I'm not too sure, but I think it starred Jean Simmons and Stewart Granger.

One film that had an ending that stayed in my mind for a long time as a child was "THE NIGHT HAS EYES " with James Mason.
A really creepy movie set mainly during fog with winds howling, and a grisly story. :)

Jack Jones's dad Allan, was in that one Pam.
The Red Shoes with Moira Shearer. I can't really remember it but I know it scared me as a child.
