That is a great chart position. Thanks for pointing it out Hilary. If I managed that HMV, I would make Heart Of The Man #1. Do you recall what was #1?
I sure wish I could be shopping at an HMV to purchase The Rare Monro and many new CD singles that are out this week. I considered ordering them from the HMV website, but the shipping charge is more than the price of the CDs! So I will wait until November. Anyway, I prefer to buy my CDs (especially Matt Monro) in an actual retail store. I'm old fashioned (as the Jerome Kern song says).
Reminder for everyone: if you are shopping at an HMV this week to get The Rare Monro, don't forget to purchase the new single, It's Not That Easy, from soul singer Lemar. I'm hoping for a good chart placement on next week's chart to show that real soul and R & B music can be relevant and popular today and that there are excellent musicians performing today besides the likes of the horrible Justin Timberlake. I can see that I will have to avoid Radio 1 for a year so I don't have to hear anything by this awful person. But back to Lemar, Ken Bruce is featuring Lemar's album this week, so I'm excited to hear some good soul music.

I didn't know that Lena and Harry. I would have loved to see Lemar singing It's Not That Easy on Saturday night. Now the real question is why can't we have TV programmes like Maria, radio stations like Radio 2, record stores like HMV, and soul singers like Lemar in the US? I'm very jealous. How are the UK immigration rules these days? Will you welcome a serious Anglophile with open arms?

FINALLY GOT MY COPY OF "HEART OF A MAN" ON SUNDAY, NOT FROM WOOLWORTHS WHERE IT WAS ORDERED FROM, BUT FROM HMV. WENT INTO WOOLWORTHS ON SATURDAY TO SEE WHERE IT WAS, AS THEY HAD PROMISED IT FOR THE FIRST WEEK IN SEPT AND THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE OCTOBER, SO I GOT MY MONEY BACK AND WENT STRAIGHT TO HMV. LOVE THE TITLE TRACK, ALSO DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF WALK AWAY AND SOMEWHERE ARE GOOD TO HEAR, MY FAVOURITE SONG IS BRILLIANT, ALSO RECORDED BY DICKIE VALENTINE. WORTH THE WAIT ANYWAY.
