Kenny Ball and his Jazzman -- Midnight in Moscow

(Just heard it cruising down the Moldau in Prague; I asked the Dixieland combo to play it :) )

That's ok, Pam--instrumental pieces are fine---anything goes in this thread.

I don't believe she's ever been mentioned in the forum, but she's an excellent jazz singer:

Just to let Marian know, I like this song too -Wives and Lovers - Jack Jones..............so catchy with that lovely "echo" sound :)
"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On" :(

Good to hear that Robert. I think I have heard it too often to be one of my favourites though, and Jack rarely sings the whole song these days. :D

I have a feeling that I did-way back--if not, I certainly intended to.

I guess you know that Neil Sedaka wrote that song, and he does a nice version of it too.

I dont think I knew Neil Sadaka wrote that. I love the song, tho for some reason Ken won't let me go play where the boys are any more, go figure. I always promise to give them back. Have you heard -

HI Pam-I certainly have heard Neil and Dara singing that song-and I love it. i am a big fan of Neil Sedaka and have all his music--also I love Dara, but she has only made 2 cds, which are very difficult to get hold of-I had to get mine from Japan--she duets with Neil on "Laughter in the rain"--so that is my favourite nomination for now--

DARA SEDAKA--..."LAUGHTER IN THE RAIN "

Mariana,
Another one of Neil's songs Breaking Up is Hard to Do, is featured in Celtic Thunders new show. Damian sings it and from the dvd it looks really cute. I see them in person October 24th

I have to say, I love to listen to other artists singing Neil's songs--he has written such great songs, and sometimes they sound so different by another artist--The Carpenters covered that one---I am sure Celtic Thunder will do another great version.
