Just caught on IPlayer a programme that you might especially like Lena and Harry. It is called Uncle Sam Goes Pop .It was on Radio 2 last Monday at 11.30 p.m. so you have today to listen to it before this weeks programme.
It is the story of the Vdiscs that all the major stars of the 40's put together to boost the morale of the American troops in the 40's.
We found it fascinating-hope you heard it or will catch it.
And thankyou for introducing us to Jerry Vale loving his music.

Hi Sandra, we heard this programme announced last Monday Morning and then for some unknown reason forgot, so thanks very much for the reminder. We have just listened to it. An interesting programme.
I've just got the Radio Times so we will listen to episode Two tonight which should be good too.

Driving into work this morning, my iPod was playing a new downloaded album, Moonlight Sinatra, and then I moved on with Burt Kaempfert's Love Letters, and now Jack Jones' Shall We Dance.

MOONLIGHT SINATRA is one of the best of Frank's later albums, along with SEPTEMBER OF MY YEARS. Not many completely good albums after that.Gloria wrote:Driving into work this morning, my iPod was playing a new downloaded album, Moonlight Sinatra, and then I moved on with Burt Kaempfert's Love Letters, and now Jack Jones' Shall We Dance.
Ten out of ten for choosing MOONLIGHT SINATRA-very few Sinatra fans pick that one-it's perfect for in-car soothing!

Listening to an Ed Ames lp at the moment, "Opening Night With Ed Ames". Some great songs from various shows.
Re: What's In Your CD Player/iPod/MP3/Computer/Hi Fi, Right Now?
I played the new Herb Alpert and Lani Hall release, Anything Goes, several times in the car today while running errands. Not what I expected at first, but I've come to really like it.

Listening the Dewi Griffiths (String of Pearls)
- no Russell Davies tonight (I miss his show when it's not on)
"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"
