I watched all the way through but not anything like as good as'LONESOME DOVE'-I kept remembering Robert&Tommy Lee in the roles-lots of 'walking'as the title suggests.
Only get it if you see it at a bargain price!

Have you been to'touch'the visiting holy relic of St.Therese(?)in your area?

I regularly visit The Antique Centre(s)in York-I've bought several vintage wristwatches & other items there. :D

Hi Mark

We often pop into The Antique Centre also!
Love browsing there.
Haven't been to touch the Holy relic though - but we do spend an awful lot of time in York's many museums in an attempt to get my children a sense of their heritage.

Do you live near York or have family near us?

We live in ,sorry, near Dewsbury-yesterday we were in Doncaster at an Antique Fair, then on to an auction sale of early oak furniture. We zoom around the area but particularly love York. :D

Hi Mark

Cool! A Fellow Yorkshireman! :)
(I'm very proud of my flat cap and whippet - as Ken Dodd said:
"Yorkshire born and Yorkshire bred,
Strong in the arm and thick in the..." - I always forget the last bit... :) )

Glad you enjoy my home town.
Sounds like you had a wonderful day yesterday.

Watched an old "Armchair Theatre" episode from the early 60's last night, with William Franklyn and Edward Chapman (better known as Mr Grimsdale in the Norman Wisdom films).

Oh my gosh, Mark, this is some list of films/tv shows.
I love LA Confidential, it blew me away when I saw it at the cinema.
The Missing was very under-rated I thought, Tommy Lee Jones is a super actor and Cate blanchet is good in just about everything.

'Lawrence..' - magnifique.
I saw it on it's theatrical re-release back in '88, and have since watched it in 70mm at Bradford.
Did anyone watch the David Lean documentary(s) last week on BBC4?
David Lean said you should be able to cut any single frame out of a movie, and frame it for hanging on your lounge wall.
What a craftsman.
I am a huge fan of 'Bridge...', Ryan's Daughter & Dr Zhivago also.
Just top drawer cinema.

I watched State of Play on dvd about a year ago as I missed it first time round- cracking TV.

What a collection you'll have, Mark!
