In Amazon, it is now out of stock. I ordered from HMV.

Most of those songs sound like they come from the RCA albums-"Harbour" etc--but never on a Cd to my knowledge.

This must be in addition to the new Studio album-as I had understood that to be songs by Marilyn and Alan Bergman--or am I mistaken ????

Sounds like you could be right-just seen the track list-I recognise most of the titles.

Just to explain. The CD "I Never Had it So Good" is a new CD as the tracks have only been available on vinyl before.
There are some of these on The Full Life, but these were released only from Japan.
The tracks on this new CD have been remastered from the original recordings.
There will be another CD, the studio album of Bergman songs coming along in the near future. So lots to look forward to.

Why doesn't Amazon carry the new CD? To overseas fans, Amazon offers the most reasonable shipping rates. HMV charges more than twice the amount the last time I checked.

Is the new CD a US or a UK release?

There is no sign of it at Amazon's US store so I ended up purchasing a new Nancy Wilson twofer How Glad I Am/Gentle Is My Love. Also picked up the blu ray of Streisand In Concert 2006.

I'm sorry I don't know Terence. I tried looking for Country House Recordings, but the only site I found looked like a D.I.Y. set-up, and I would have thought this wouldn't have been the kind of company Jack would go for. Anyway, time will tell.
Eventually someone will be able to get hold of a copy - hopefully!

Since Country House is beginning to release Jack's RCA recordings on CD, I would prefer to have twofers rather than incomplete albums on CD like Never Had It So Good which is basically a compilation of tracks from Harbour & The Good Life. This means I will never have the complete Harbour album on CD! It is okay for The Good Life since I have the Japanese release.

Considering that this CD is not announced in the U.S., it seems like it's just intended to accompany Jack's fall U.K. tour and to make money at an opportune time. Obviously it's great that Jack was involved in his own remastering, but this doesn't seem like it's coming from a record company that's interested in JJ's RCA catalog. But, hopefully it'll attract the interest of some company interested in the full albums, if not Country House.

I have just ordered my copy of 'I Never Had it So Good' direct from the SCOTDISC website as it apparently being manufactured in Scotland, probably due to Robert Pratt being based there.
Anyway it was £9.88 (free postage UK.)

HMV didn't live up to the advertising did they, available from the 12th October?!!
I wish I'd found out about Scotdisc earlier. Anyway, better late than never.
I've also cancelled Amazon EU for the other album and ordered from Jasmine, which I should have done in the first place.
