I watched the excellent Daid Lean biog.,suprisingly not spoiled by Rossy-which prompted me to buy'LAWRENCE'especially at the reasonable price at play.com .The others weren't expensive although only'LA CONFIDENTIAL'&'LAWRENCE'have arrived so far.
I chose the TV version of'STATE OF PLAY'as it was recommended over&above the film version.
Better than the current rubbish on TV and they will come with us next week to Devon.

Thanks-we go to Ashburton a lovely little Georgian-style town, hardly touched by today.
We are going with our grandaughters (22&19)and grandson(9)(in separate cars)-they love Dartmoor as much as we,whatever the weather.
We'll take a batch of DVDs/CDs too. :D

The first, last and only time we went to Dartmoor, we got marooned by a really thick mist--luckily we were close by a pub, and spent all afternoon playing darts--this was many years ago--in the middle of summer !!!!

I love 42nd Street, Robert.
How many times do you think you've seen it?

So far watched LA CONFIDENTIAL -- superb,LAWRENCE-exceptional,THE MISSING,which half-way through I remembered having seen the end bit on TV.
I've now ordered'BROKEN TRAIL',I think Robert Duvall must have been a cowboy in a previous life.
I've still to watch'STATE OF PLAY'which I may'save'for next month.

Last night watched a comedy film from the early 60's with Bob Monkhouse, Alfred Marks and Hattie Jacques called "She'll Have To Go". Haven't seen it before, but was quite good.

Thanks Robert for replying!
I know you have mentioned 42nd Street before.

John, there's another film I haven't heard of! :)

Has anyone ever seen a film from the 60's called 'The L-Shaped Room'?
