Of course, all the reviews were as you'd expect-perfect.
Tony on the cover was a bonus-this afternoon,we played several of Matt's recordings-at a Sinatra fans'home-tracks from a 2CD set which included 'ALL BY MYSELF'which puzzled us as nonone could identify Matt's duet partner(I guessed Matt jnr).
No comparison's were made to Sinatra,Matt's style was/is very different-vocally much better. Mention was also made of the BBC Documentary,in glowing terms. All thanks to you,Michele.

Rare Monro reviews

Post by Richard M » Sun Oct 29, 2006 11:40 pm

Hi there all,

Thought it was about time I came out of the wood work. I'm the Richard Moore as mentioned in the Rare Monro sleeve notes and in the latest "in Tune" review.

All the tracks I worked on were on CD 2.

I'm in the midst of building a website at present (although i'm quite busy at present with other projects) and only a few links work so far (and until i've completed it you'll have to put up with the adverts from Orange at the top of the page) but I have posted some technical details about my restoration of these tracks if anyone's interested.

Feel free to throw any questions in my direction if you have them!

Richard

(I might post my photo at some point as long as it doesn't break anyone's computer screen!)

First of all Richard, have to congratulate you on the restoration and results achieved on the Rare Monro CD. We have appreciated and enjoyed these otherwise unheard of tracks.
We have also looked at, and taken note of your web-site.

What a very interesting "read" regarding your restoration of the Matt tracks from the "Rare Monro" on your news page Richard. Quite fascinating to read about what you went through to bring us those very rare Matt songs. I would like to thank you very much for your considerable help, as I'm sure all the other Matt fans would also like to do. And the more Matt Monro tracks there are on the market, the better 8) 8)
