Terry W ogan

Post by Lena & Harry Smith » Sat Dec 19, 2009 12:13 pm

It was goodbye to Terry yesterday morning. Felt really emotional listening to this last programme.
Terry will be a hard act to follow, and Chris Evans knows this, but we might be pleasantly surprised. :)

We do know that Mark, but it was still a sad day, and the end of an era. :(

The end of an era indeed. Although I currently get to work at about the time that TW starts his show (started?), for as long as I can remember he's been on the Breakfast slot (apart from the short break he took for the chat show on TV); certainly since the late 70's/early 80's.
Hope he has a long and happy retirement although I understand that he will be doing a week-end show fom February 2010

Good news in today's paper that Chris Evans intends to play a varied selection of music to please kids to Grans, including Matt Monro and Barbra Streisand

From Kids to Grans. !!!! There we are then.
We'll even forgive him if he's forced to play that cringeing "Grandma We Love You."
