Marian, thank you for telling us about the first of the concert nights for Jack at Southend.
We know only too well about the M25 and the traffic hold-ups, but it sounds as though it was all worth the journey to see Jack again and listen to those unforgettable songs that are particularly his own. It's always nice to hear some oldies again as well as new recordings.
Croyden is another venue always appears to be well attended for performers like Jack. We saw Matt Jnr there last year, and we wish that we were able to go at least to the London venue Cadogan Hall, but family occasions prevent it. Enjoy the other concerts Marian we know you will. :)

Thank you yet again Lena and Harry. :D

Just found out that Jack's "If You Ever Leave Me" is to be released on CD on December 20th by the Sinatra Society of Japan. Just received my "Write Me a Love Song Charlie" Cd today from a dear friend in Japan.
Also "Lollipops and Roses" is advertised as being re-released on December 1st.

Hi Mark,
I know Jack holds the rights to his RCA albums, but for some reason doesn't seem to want them released over here. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Great news to see Tony Bennett is coming over to appear on "Parkinson" at the end of the month.

That's Tony you mean isn't it Mark? I don't think Jack is doing any more tv this tour. Enjoy seeing Tony while he's over here and keep us informed which tv programmes to watch for. Thank you for all your info on the great man.
Off to see JJ again tomorrow in Croydon.

Marian, yesterday morning Dewi Griffiths on BBC Radio Wales played Allan Jones and Irene Dunne's duet recording of "Only Make Believe" as a memory Birthday salute for Allans Birth date,.. the 14th of October and he also mentioned Jack's UK tour.
He did also play David Hughes " None Shall Sleep" David's Birth date also to co-inside for the 11th of Oct. We are huge fans of David. Both superb singers.

That's very interesting Lena and Harry. I'd forgotten about when Allan's birthdate was. It's nice that he was remembered, especially in Wales.
Good that Jack's tour was mentioned too. He's in Llandudno tonight.
I recently was really surprised to discover that the two sisters who run the Allan Jones website are only youngsters, one in her 2nd year at College, and the other in her last year at High school. I was amazed that young people like that would have such an interest in early musicals and great singers of that era. They also follow everything to do with Howard Keel's career as well as Allan's. I think they are doing a tremendous job with the website.

Hi Marian, that really is nice to hear that these two younger people are going to those lengths to run this web-site for Allan Jones.
There definitely seems to be signs of music choice and changes for the younger generation. The TV commercials seem to have this idea too. We hear Matt, Sinatra, Andy Williams, Michael Buble, Ella, Doris Day. Unless we may have just missed others without realizing it. :?

Hi All

Hope you don't mind me jumping in and slightly changing the subject but I remembered on my way to work another Jack Jones song I adore - 'Dear Heart'.
Funny, but this simple song reminds me of Xmas - although it has nothing to do with it! :?

Hi all,
Jack was simply wonderful again last night in Malvern. He's singing lots of his early songs again, but unfortunately not "Dear Heart", one of my favourites too Gray.
 Just one more concert tonight for Peter and myself, back to London at the Cadogan Hall. Jack mentioned being ousted from the Palladium by The Sound of Music last night! It should be a great show tonight anyway.
