Congratulations on winning the Joe Longthorne DVD. In fact we had a lovely surprise, we won the same. It arrived yesterday.
I'ts wonderful. An incredible story of Joe, his courage and determination from his gruelling schedule of treatment for cancer to making a return to performing again.
Yes it is an incredible story and at times very sad, Joe must be so strong to come through all that he has and be back on stage so soon, he's an inspiration to all cancer sufferers.

He certainly is Diane and seems to just take his illness in his stride, and looks upon it as something that gets in the way now and again.
What we like so much about him is his outlook and honesty about almost everything.
The truest words spoken on that video was that Joe has more talent in his little finger than many performers have in their whole body.

The Paradise Room!

Post by Billmiler » Sun Feb 25, 2007 6:55 pm

Hi Diane,
Although your message was last year, and knowing you are also a Joe Longthorne fan, what's the Paradise Room like? I know Joe performs there regularly. I'd love to sing there one time myself - can you arrange for Joe to sing Sinatra and Sammy Davis and I'll sing Dean Martin with him!!!!

Ha! Ha! Hi Bill, I bet that would be a good show.

The Paradise Room is quite nice I suppose, very intimate and very smokey although I imagine it'll be a non smoking venue now.
I went quite a few times during Joes summer season there and also booked to see Matt Jnr, but unfortunately it was cancelled so I never got to see him.
I must say I prefer to see someone in a Theatre though, but apparently Joe loved it there.

I think one of things that will please all non-smokers is the forthcoming ban! I come in from the odd Club and if the weather is dry, have to hang out my tuxedo on the washing line! Thanks for the info on the Paradise Rooms - I must travel up there one day.

Hi there--welcome to this fabulous forum. We have had quite a few new members recently, which is great. Plenty of discussions on Matt and his music and other stuff as well. Perhaps next time , you can let us know your first name--to make our replies sound friendlier.
