Robert - I always have an answer for your questions! I chose Paul because it's my middle name, so I thought I should use it sometime and there are never many Pauls around me. There are always many Jeffs wherever I am. But you can Paul or Jeff!

If I'm on this forum in the evening, it's always interesting to see the UK nightowls (e.g., Lena & Harry, Robert) finally retire. Then there's a few hours where no one is on but me (except an occasional American), and then come the UK early risers (Edgar, Gray).

I see what you mean about your names, as Jeff is definitely a more common name in the US than Paul.

Marian - You can still call me Paul. :) Geoff is occasionally used, but not often. At my work, there are 4 persons with Geoffrey or Geofrey, and 33 with Jeffrey, Jeffery, Jeff, or Jefferson. During my first trip to London I bought a Harrod's bookmark with "Geoff" on it.

Here are some more name statistics from my office:

14 Marian, Marianne, Mariana, etc.
155 Robert, Roberta, Roberto
0 Gray
1 Hilary
3 Lena
2 Harry
2 Edgar
13 Michele
33 Matt, Matthew
146 Michael
183 John

Oh, it looks like I crossed postings with Paul and Sue.

Just looking at your list of names again---"Gray"s proper name is Graham, I do believe--so you may well have a couple of Grahams around!

You are exactly right Marian. There are two Grahams at my workplace. But like you (with Paul vs Jeff), I will not be able to start calling Gray as Graham. So I listed Gray and not Graham. And before you ask, there are 13 Amandas. Sorry there are no Chloes.

I don't know all these people. I searched the employee roster on these names and it does a count of the occurences. It is a very large agency.

Real names L&H, let me have a guess. Harry you look like a Cedric to me, Lena looks like a Matilda. Am I close

Looks like Paul cannot get away from his "statistic" job, even on the MM forum

Hi All,

Boy, what a funny conversation! :)
I must admit Paul, I also thought you work at The Pentagon or NASA or maybe a basball stadium and you are counting all crowd :) - all those people!

I am also loking forward to the fan club meet, but I'm really nervous.
I'll be there on my own, and being a very shy sort of fellow, I can imagine myself being stuck on the threshold of the theatre too anxious to enter.
I hope you lot don't bite.
