Dear Michele,
Thank you for the mention and for your support.

Appearing on Stars in Their Eyes (families special) was great fun, despite being unable to perform as our chosen artistes (Neil Diamond/Barbra Streisand or Dean Martin/Doris Day), due to the celebrity shows using the same artistes within a short space of time.

Initially, I was unsure about performing as the vocal duo suggested by Granada because, although ‘I’ve had the time of my life’ is a good song, I felt that few people in the UK would relate to the original artistes – Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes. That said, Bill was actually one of the ‘Richeous Brothers’.

However, I think it went well and was a superb experience that I would recommend to any singer.
They have a fantastic supportive crew at Granada TV - we were very well looked after and made to feel special, as well benefiting from their expertise.

It is interesting watching Soapstar Superstar at the moment, because we now know all the same faces; vocal coach (Jo), choreographer (Michelle), musical director (Ray), as well as the guys and girls from the makeup and costume departments etc.

Anyway, enough about us!
Here’s to seeing more of Matt Jnr in 2006, as we enjoyed the last tour immensely. We also look forward to regular visits to this fab website.

Best wishes to all!
Tony (& Julie) Wright

Tony and Julie,
We did see most of the Family" Stars In Your Eyes" and enjoyed your performance very much, just missed the first act but after seeing the repeat acts again towards the end we thoght that you appeared to be the most professional of them all. Great stuff.
We have been watching the Super Soap Stars out of sheer fascination, and Cilla loves them all.

Hi Tony & Julie

I also saw the show and thought you did brilliantly, you should be really proud of yourselves!
I asked Michelle if her dad ever had nerves before performing as the thought of stepping out in front of TV cameras / an audience is absolutely terrifying to me!
I have attempted to sing in small concerts in our village but the butterflies always seem to leave me in tatters.
You on the other hand performed splendidly (as did everyone on the night), you have my upmost admiration.
Congradulations to you both.

Dear Lena, Harry & Gray,

Thank you for your kind comments. We're so pleased that the performances came across OK and it's very nice to hear from you all, especially since you are also Matt Monro fans. Matt, incidentally, was my (Tony's) main inspiration to start singing - a truly special, unique talent!

Best wishes, Tony & Julie
