You all seem to be having difficulty with this one, here are 2 more clues, it was a B side of a single and also featured on THE SINGERS SINGER Set

We certainly are struggling John---but that clue should point us in the right direction--hopefully . Marian

Hope someone comes up with this one soon. We've eliminated all the words of the songs that we know on "The Singers Singer " haven't found it, and now it looks as if we'll have to start again.

Hi John--you certainly make us work hard--I checked your list of singles and I could only find 2 that matched--""Before you go"--then the very last one on your list was "I don't want to run your life"--and I think the answer is "I don't want to run your life" Phew!!!!!

Hi John---that sounds like a line from "Little green apples"---but I do not think that Matt ever sang that, so I may have to think again

It should have been Marians go, shouldn't it john??

I think the line could come from "Honey" made famous by Bobby Goldsboro, but Matt didn't record that one either, did he??

Finally I got one! It's Henry Mancini's lovely Days Of Wine And Roses. Thanks Marian! John's are so difficult even when he says they're easy. The same applies to Lena and Harry's opening verses.

Here's my lyric from a song I just recently discovered. Matt Monro's styling of the song is so tender and exquisite.

"You'll let me come to call"
