Not yet Marian.........I usually unwrap CDs just before I play them, but I will wait a while longer before "I unwrap"

All 5 CDs and the booklet are very neatly packaged, but it was a bit like putting up a deckchair until I got the knack!

There's an art in putting up a deckchair Marian, and it sounds similar to one that we have here titled.. THE GOLDEN AGE OF RADIO... I can never put it back right the first time.

I took my parents to see her perform in an very intimate cabaret room in Washington in the 1980s. Very special evening. I can't recall the set list, but I know she sang Moonlight in Vermont.ROBERT M. wrote:Listening to Margaret Whiting tonight.......Margaret sings the opening song on the CD - It Might As Well Be Spring - so magnificently...............Moonlight In Vermont is on now
The other day I listened to my George Best tribute CD single. What a nice CD single! I love all the songs. I know we've talked about this before. I need to get an album by Mr Corry (can't recall his first name right now).

I have just one Peter Corry cd---called "Broadway and Beyond"---as you would expect-songs from the musicals, but not such obvious choices ,as in some collections.

Made a big mistake purchasing a CD yesterday at HMV. It was called "Purely ..70s" and I bought it because it had "Storm In A Teacup" on it by the Fortunes (the old Lynsey de Paul song), which I've always liked (plus other 70s hits). However, on arriving home I realised that many of the recordings weren't actually the originals - and only then did I see the small print on the back which said that the CD contained "re-recorded and live tracks". The artists were the original ones but the songs were later recordings of the more famous ones and really didn't sound like them at all, so I rather regret buying it and am now taking it back in the hope of getting a replacement or an alternative. Let the buyer beware!

Harry here. The wonderful Margaret Whiting , & "Moonlight in Vermont" also Billy Butterfield's great trumpet opening, surely one of the best ever recordings of this song
