Music you sing along to - in the car, bath, when hoovering..

What are you playing in the background.

Hi Robert, yes we did hear Dewi this morning and Gracie Fields with Giannina Mia.
A tribute to Deana Durbin too, 85 tomorrow.
Robert we are listening to Eric Hall right now, and he will be playing one of our Matt's Christmas songs

Well it wasn't one of Matt's Christmas songs on Eric's show after all. It was "Laura," but we enjoy listening to Matt singing "Laura" at any time.

Golly - Deanna Durbin at 85! Thats lovely, I think she lives in France now. A wonderful talent.

I don't know whether any of you 'Northerners' have ever been to Eden Camp in North Yorkshire - its an PoW camp converted into a WWII Home Front museum - a great day out. In the 'Entertainment Hut' they have an endless loop of Gracie Fields - think she sings 'Wish me luck' and 'The biggest aspidistra in the world'.

Hi Mike

Yes, I've been to Eden Camp, cracking 'museum'.
I know somebody whose 6 year old son walked into the open door of an armoured vehicle there not so long back.
Unfortunately the vehicle wasn't for moving. :(
Ouch!

Hi Gray - Museum of Yorkshire life in York is still one of my favourite museums tho - that little street with all the old shops on it, plus the display of 'modern' antiques such as a 'baird' colour TV and a Sinclair ZX Spectrum computer.

Want to do the 'Yorkshire Museum of Flying' soon too. Have you been?

Hi Marian

Another marvellous tune! But I am resisting the temptation to download off i-tunes, as it is normally cheaper to buy Matts CDs!

We do remember Gary Miller Derek and somewhere have some 45rpm's
and if we're not mistaken "There Goes That Song Again" and "If You Were The Only Girl In The World " were two of his most popular numbers at that time.
Also we seem to recall that Gary Miller's son was a guest on Ed Stewart's programme one Sunday evening.
