Hullo everyone, I am lying here on my sofa in Japan and reading all your lovely letters. What a grand bunch of people. The above CD is playing in the background. I boughtit in 1997; it was part of the EMI 100series. I used it in a play I had written in Malaysia. I used MIRAGE which I hoped would shock the muslims in the audience; nobody complained.
My question is this _ when did you all realise that you were fans of the man?
I cant work it out for myself.
I was in my teens when he was big and used to like his stuff but never bought it. I was into Manfred Mann and Pretty Things.
But much later I got to rediscover him. I think it was in Asia. He is big in the Philippines and I kept seeing his tapes everywhere. Someone there said that Mrs Imelda Marcos was crazy about him.
IT's great to find like travellers here. Some of your letters are very moving.

Welcome Tim and lovely to have you join the site. If you send a photo of yourself to murph@lagos.me.uk he will attach it to your sign in and then we can all see what you look like. It's really great and much more personal.

So pleased you are enjoing the music of Matt, I must say you have an oldie there. There are several sites that have most of his newer titles and the recent DVD's available for overseas postage. You may or may not be interested.

Once again thanks for popping in and I hope to see a lot more of you

Enjoy the music
