I agree about Barry Manilow, perhaps he has had a nip or tuck or two?  Can't say I was over keen on the song, prefer him doing his own numbers, he wrote some good songs.

I'm just reading that my favourites are no longer in the competition. How sad. What happened to them?

If someone could tell me the songs that each act sang, I'd really appreciate it. I know I could find this on the X factor website, but I'd rather read it here. Thanks!

So its now down to the "obvious" final two. Both have their strong points. Leonas voice, Rays personality. Could be a close run thing  Could go in Rays favour as most "mothers" and "grandmothers" will be voting for him, because of his cheeky personality  but personally I think Leona has the best voice, but does that count in this day and age, of course not

Have enjoyed some of Ray's songs like "Kick in the Head" ......but to my mind, Leona's my kind of girl! I think she should win, but Ray will definately get the ladies vote. I'm sure they'll both get recording contracts anyway, as will Ben.... Ben?- I'm off to add another name in the IQ test!

Hi Paul--tonight Ray sang "Smile"--and "You'll never walk alone", and Leona sang "Over the rainbow"--plus another song-I do not remember, and I cannot remember either of Ben's songs.

I thought Ray was much the strongest. Leona always seems to start off very quietly, but gets stronger later. I guess she has a good voice, but I just do not like her type of singing--whereas I love Ray's type of singing.
Especially as he is still so young-it is unusual to hear a youngster sing those songs, the way that Ray sings them.

Well-despite the fact that I am not a Grandmother, and have never voted for Ray--I still like him !!

All the three finalists performed exceptionally-I guess Ben had to go as he was a strong competitor and it looks as if Leona is 'scheduled'to win(allegedly).
Just like Julio and Barry before her,Gloria Estefan seemed completely'out to sea'.Why she bothered to "fly over specially"is a mystery to me. After watching the superb performances from the youngsters-I simply gasped!
Maybe also like Julio and Barry, she'll acquit herself on Paul O'Grady's TV Show this week-I hope so!

I can't believe Ray sang a song from Carousel and Marian (from Kent) didn't vote for him. :)

People at chart refugees are saying that Leona needs to go to diva school to get a personality. I thought she seemed nice when I saw the programme a few weeks ago.

I don't think I could sit through yet another version of Smile and Over The Rainbow. At least there was no Unchained Melody. I don't think Simon Cowell and the folks at 19 Entertainment know one song that was written in the past 30 years.

Did Gloria Estefan sing? She seemed to have lost her voice after her accident many years ago. All her best songs were recorded before that accident. But she does good work for various charities.

The winner's single will be the sappy A Moment Like This, which Kelly Clarkson sang when she won American Idol. My bets are on Bing Bang (Time To Dance) by Lazy Town to be Christmas #1.

Paul, Gloria Estefan did sing, but I'm afraid I can't remember what it was.
I'm sure someone else will though.

Hi Paul--firstly I could not vote for Ray, because my phone does not allow me to !
Plus that song is probably my least favourite from Carousel. Neither do I like the song "Smile"--but Ray did make them sound good. I did not think a lot of Leonas version of "Over the rainbow"--I much preferred Katherines version in American Idol.

Gloria Estefan seemed very subdued, and her voice did not sound so good. She sang a medley of 3 of her biggest hits 2 ballads, and 1 beat.
It was not "Cuts both ways" but two of her other big hits. The beat one was one of her really well known ones--I will know it if I heard the title.

Just checking Gloria Estefan--some of her ballads sound quite samey to be, so I may be wrong--I think one was "Can't stay away from you" and the other may have been "Anything for you". The beat one was "Rhythm
is gonna get you"---I much prefer her upbeat songs to the ballads--like "Conga" "1 2 3" "Get on your feet" "Bad boy" "Rhythm is gonna get you" etc etc.

:D Gloria was far better on Paul's show.
Could some/most of the stars from overseas be intimidated by the 'X'Factor show etc?

Yes Mark, especially when some of the "stars" have inferior voices to the X-Factor contestants (obviously not including TB)
