Marian - you were probably on here doing more quizzes!!
It was a great programme to watch, I saw it 1st time and made comments at the time, but in an effort to hit 500 posts, I will repeat it again!
Some interesting info, and of course the honest revelations by Nancy Sinatra about the recording of 'You only live twice' (my other fave Bond theme) was very interesting! Makes you wonder why they picked her in the 1st place
Of course, the highlight was Matts appearance at a very resepctable position, and the wonderful comments about his abilites from the other contributors - notably Nancy
Finally - I was little shocked when it was revealed what 'Diamonds are forever' was really all about
never listen to that one in the same way again!
BTW, the new Bond theme 'You know my name' is fantastic, as is the film 'Casino Royale'

You're probably quite correct there Mike! The visitors had long gone so I was probably on the forum
Enjoyed your review of the programme anyway - both times... And I shall soon see for myself, as an extremely kind friend of the forum has offered to make me a copy..I won't mention her name in case she gets inundated with requests, but I'm exremely grateful to her.
Marian.

Marian.
I saw the Bond programme when it was repeated. I also found Nancy Sinatra's admission of her vocal shortcomings interesting and it reminded me of an interview I recently read in, I think, the Saturday Times supplement, in which she said that "These Boots Are Made For Walking" was a song more for talking than for showing off singing ability and that it didn't do her justice! Still, in my view, she couldn't be any worse than her father..oops, sorry, Frankie fans, it's just a personal thing.
