"X-FACTOR 2008"
Quite a surprise in last nights x factor--I will not give anything away, in case anyone has not seen, but I personally thought this singer was the weakest last night-and in the sing off--but equally did not deserve to go.
To me, the biggest mystery of the night was how Mariah Carey kept her dress up--then at the end I saw 2 very narrow straps!!!!

Looks like great minds were thinking alike again--we both were posting at virtually the same time !!
I thought Laura was very weak last night--her voice with the piano did not sound strong--and her version of "Over the Rainbow" was quite poainful I thought-the song did her no favours, and it did not suit her voice. And much as I did not like Ruth's second song, she gave it all she could.
I actually thought Rachel sang better and looked better--and she was much more subdued-I think maybe someone has had a word with her!!
Looks as though we have completely different views on this one.

I don't usually watch X Factor, however I did on Saturday
night and I was disappointed by the talent on display.
I think male larnyx evolution is undergoing a change for
the worse: modern male singers all lack vocal depth
of the quality we enjoyed courtesy of Matt and his
contemporaries. Even Daniel, who looked the part, was
cursed by the deficiency. He didn't, as Louis Walsh said,
lack vocal range, he lacked any semblance of baritone
depth - a different matter altogether.
A letdown for me I'm afraid. As for Maria Carey's dress,
Marian, now that's a letdown I wouldn't have minded.
