Well, that would have been an excuse for last night--but not the previous weeks !

I thought Rachel would have gone last night after her performance, but she wasn't even in the bottom two. I personally thought that Laura sang better than Ruth in the sing off, but she still went home.

Quite a surprise in last nights x factor--I will not give anything away, in case anyone has not seen, but I personally thought this singer was the weakest last night-and in the sing off--but equally did not deserve to go.

To me, the biggest mystery of the night was how Mariah Carey kept her dress up--then at the end I saw 2 very narrow straps!!!!

Looks like great minds were thinking alike again--we both were posting at virtually the same time !!

I thought Laura was very weak last night--her voice with the piano did not sound strong--and her version of "Over the Rainbow" was quite poainful I thought-the song did her no favours, and it did not suit her voice. And much as I did not like Ruth's second song, she gave it all she could.

I actually thought Rachel sang better and looked better--and she was much more subdued-I think maybe someone has had a word with her!!

Looks as though we have completely different views on this one.

I don't usually watch X Factor, however I did on Saturday
night and I was disappointed by the talent on display.
I think male larnyx evolution is undergoing a change for
the worse: modern male singers all lack vocal depth
of the quality we enjoyed courtesy of Matt and his
contemporaries. Even Daniel, who looked the part, was
cursed by the deficiency. He didn't, as Louis Walsh said,
lack vocal range, he lacked any semblance of baritone
depth - a different matter altogether.
A letdown for me I'm afraid. As for Maria Carey's dress,
Marian, now that's a letdown I wouldn't have minded. :D

Thought it was hilarious when one of the contestants - can't remember her name - claimed to be playing the piano, but it was clearly a recording as the piano kept playing when she stood up!

I was quite sorry to see Daniel's departure last night. He sang well, and I didn't like Rachel's song at all.
I think even Simon nearly paid Daniel a compliment. He did on his song choice anyway, but couldn't bring himself to vote for him.

I thought Rachel was actually better this week Marian. I think Daniel had done well to stay in for so long. Alexandra was superb again this week as well.

They all sang well again tonight, I was a bit surprised at the result though, I won't give anything away in case some of you haven't watched it. Thought Ruth was amazing tonight.

I thought it was the right result-but surprised at the other act in the bottom 2. I am beginning to like Ruth more and more-she has a powerful voice. I liked the "Take that" songs---but I hope they are not all doing Britney Spears songs next week !!
